CHIRP features three filter modes: Low-Pass (LPF), Band-Pass (BPF), and High-Pass (HPF), which can be used individually or blended for hybrid responses. With its crossfading capabilities, you can transition between filter modes, opening up a world of sound design possibilities.
The module’s high resonance levels push it into self-oscillation, turning the filter into a standalone sound source capable of producing melodic tones with CV or manual cutoff adjustment.
Controllable Parameters:
- Cutoff (CV/Manual): Two CV inputs allow precise control over the filter frequency. Use one as an offset and the other for dynamic modulation from an LFO, envelope, or sequencer.
- Resonance (CV/Manual): Adjust the resonance from warm and subtle to sharp, screaming self-oscillation.
- Self-oscillation (CV/Manual): At maximum resonance, use CHIRP as a sine wave oscillator.
- Mode Selection (CV/Manual): Choose LPF, BPF, or HPF, or blend between them for hybrid filter responses. The MODE CV Input provides voltage-controlled transitions across filter types for dynamic performance.
- Crossfade Modes (CV/Manual): Gradually crossfade between filter modes.
- Resonance Feedback Control: Switchable resonance feedback offers constant resonance or CV-based modulation.
- Distortion: Built-in input drive adds subtle warmth or gritty distortion.
